Crossing Borders Group (CBG) is a language and cultural education company committed to quality learning experiences and materials. Crossing Borders has been providing language services in the North Houston area for the past 10 years. Over this span of time, CBG has gained a reputation as the leader in language and cultural education in Texas.
Our Founder, Owner, and Executive Director
Elvia Taylor founded our company in 2001. Elvia initially started the company to teach English and Spanish; however, she soon realized that people’s need for linguistic and cultural education extended far beyond basic studies. Through her vision and passion for language, Elvia has expanded Crossing Borders to include classes for children and adults in a wide variety of settings and languages. It is this passion that drives CBG as we expand in the effort to make quality linguistic and cultural education accessible to everyone.
Variety of Languages and Programs
Crossing Borders offers a variety of languages and programs year-round. From our bilingual early learning program to our Spanish summer camp, CBG has it all! Expansion to New Locations
Spring 2011 CBG began a massive expansion across Texas. Due to growing demand, CBG has expanded to reach our large customer base! Crossing Borders Group's innovative curriculum is now in many locations across Houston and San Antonio. McAllen's location is only open during the summer months!

Professional Language Teachers
Crossing Borders instructors are all college educated and many of our teachers hold master’s degrees. Our teachers use time-tested methods and only the best materials to guide you on your language-learning journey. CBG offers classes for students of all ages, from toddlers to adults, and all fluency levels, from beginners to students looking to hone their skills. At Crossing Borders students are given the one-on-one attention needed to acquire a second, a third or even a fourth language.
