Crossing Borders Instructors
Crossing Borders contracts with several other experienced language professionals. All CBG instructors are college educated, and many hold master's degrees. Crossing Borders makes every attempt to hire native speakers for all language classes whenever possible. Teachers are evaluated in all areas of language, classroom experience, and personality. CBG prides itself on being able to offer our students the best language education available, delivered by quality and personable teachers.

Elvia Taylor was born in Mexico and spent her youth living in San Luis Potosi and the United States.

Irelise Font is a native of Venezuela. She also lived in Australia for 7 years with her husband and enjoys meeting people from different cultures.
Samira Taha, Adult Program Manager
Samira Taha brings much diversity to the Crossing Borders staff! Mrs. Taha speaks fluent Arabic and was raised in a multi-cultural home. Mrs. Taha is in charge of all adult programs at CBG as well as our English programs and other programs for international students.

Ana Gonzalez is a native Texan. Born in Laredo, Ms. Gonzalez began her career as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional at United Independent School District.
Valerie Mayfield, French & English Teacher
Valerie is a native Houstonian with a wealth of language learning and teaching experience. With a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Education and a Diplome d'Etudes en Langue Francais, Valerie is both an English and French teacher for Crossing Borders Group.
Aime'e Kerschen, English & French Teacher
Aime'e Kerschen is a native Houstonian with a love of languages. Aime'e was named after the French actress, Anouk Aimée by her Francophile American mother.
Dr. Robert Rice, English Teacher
Robert Rice, Ph.D comes to Crossing Borders from the great state of New York! Although Dr. Rice swears he does not have a New York accent, he has fond memories of growing up in New York.
