Instructor's Certification – Language Immersion
Our Language Immersion Program for little ones is now offered in several locations, and it is one of the most popular programs for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old. Parents are always eager to sign their children up for Crossing Borders Group's Immersion Program as soon as they find out it is near or in their community.
Crossing Borders Group wishes to bring language immersion to little ones all over the world, focusing in the language that best fits the country, city, and/or community. You can choose to offer:
- Spanish Immersion
- English Immersion
- Mandarin Immersion
- French Immersion
- or our Dual Language program (choose two languages).
* The language that you offer must be your native language.
The target language(s) can be offered to children twice a week to five days a week - for a few hours a day or for 6 hours a day. You pick the schedule you want to offer. We will help you develop your schedule, your pricing, your sales strategy and help you get started. By being a Crossing Borders Group Instructor, you will receive the following:
- Material that will be used in your classroom
- Business and marketing training
- Training on how to use the curriculum and how to teach it
- Curriculum (lesson plans)
- Advertising tools (banners, business cards, t-shirt with our logo, etc.)
- Forms that you will use to run your classes
- Follow-up assistance
- Be recognized on our website
Crossing Borders Group provides a path for individuals to obtain their Spanish and/or English teacher certification. Training for this specialized program is done at our Houston office. You must be present for 2 weeks. Our next training is December 5-16th. To be eligible for the program, you must possess a Bachelor's degree or be a graduating senior in the last semester of coursework toward your degree.
Anyone interested in becoming a Crossing Borders Group Instructor must complete the Crossing Borders Group Instructor Training, must keep their instructor certificate current through a variety of courses offered by the Crossing Borders Group, and join the Crossing Borders Instructor Network (CBIN).

How it works:
Step 1
Send an application form with your fee and résumé video. There is a $350.00 non-refundable fee. We will evaluate your video and let you know if you qualify for further review.
Step 2
If you choose to become certified in teaching language immersion programs, you must pay for your certification. After receiving your payment, Crossing Borders Group will confirm your training date.
Step 3
Once you are comfortable with the training materials, you will complete a written exam and turn it in by the requested date.
We are looking for instructors with the follow characteristics:
a great personality, creative, outgoing, business-oriented, excellent teaching ability, good pronunciation in target language, and a true grammarian. (Structure and grammar is a must – a written and oral assessment will have to be taken.)
The assessments and audition must average a 90% proficiency in understanding and skills.
Step 4
Upon successful completion of the exam and audition, you will be granted a Crossing Borders Group Instructor Certificate and will be eligible for our membership program.
Instructors will have flexibility in determining the number of classes, class location, and schedule. Crossing Borders Group will have to authorize your price. We ask, as a courtesy to other instructors, that in urban communities you keep a 15 mile radius from other existing instructor locations
Note: Certified instructors must also meet the following requirements: valid proof of insurance, valid tax ID number, clear background check and a CPR/First Aid certification before receiving certification of completion.

If instructor wants to become certified in more than one language, instructor must provide language assessment in each language that he/she desires to teach.

Monthly Membership Includes:
A link on the Crossing Borders Group website, access to online training materials, access to all new class materials, lesson plans, tips, 10% discount on Crossing Borders Group and Language Solutions merchandise
Membership Fee:
Monthly (5 year commitment) $600 per month per language.
