How does it work?
First and foremost you need to decide what franchise you are interested in.
· Franchise #1 – Do you want to become an Area Developer for CBG?
· Franchise #2 – Do you want to only offer classes for kids in your area?
Franchise owners have the exciting opportunity to harvest financial rewards, while making a meaningful contribution to your community. As a franchisee you receive a turnkey business with potentially high profit margins and a relatively low initial investment.
After the franchisee (you) pays for a non-refundable application fee of $350, the franchisee will fill out the application and turn it in to CBG. CBG will review the information and decide if the candidate would be a good match to work with. If the person is accepted then franchisee pays upfront the franchising fee (see pricing).
Understanding that the first year of a business is the toughest year. CBG will help supervise, assist, and consult you. The franchisee may wish to teach all classes themselves, or may choose to hire and train instructors to teach classes within their specified region. They are also required to buy materials from CBG for classroom use. The franchisee must have his or her own separate company under which he or she will offer the Crossing Borders programs in an agreed-upon, exclusive territory. Each franchisee is responsible of renting a center or partner with a center or school, licensing the center, finding suitable insurance coverage, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, training and paying their instructors and staff.
Crossing Borders will fill you in on everything you need to know to make your business successful. Apply with us and pay a $350 application fee (non-refundable) for the courtesy of Crossing Borders' staff to review your application. If your application is approved, Crossing Borders will train you and help you get started on your new adventure! Come to our office for one week to be trained by our very own Executive Director and staff.
Crossing Borders will work with you to help determine what is the best "area" for you. In order to gain exclusive rights to sell Crossing Borders' academic foreign language programs in that area, Area Developers must purchase these licensing rights for a specific area. When that area is determined, Crossing Borders will give prospective Area Developers a quote of that price.
Once areas are agreed upon and paid for, the Area Developer can begin selling Crossing Borders' academic programs in that area. Exact commissions, royalties, etc. will be worked out by Crossing Borders and the area developer.
