Emphasis on Language Immersion and Small Group Classes 

Crossing Borders does not only want you to learn to speak and write a new language, but we want you to experience the culture and love it the same way we do! Besides offering adult language classes, we also provide a wide range of other programs that will allow you to continue improving your new language. Why choose Crossing Borders? In addition to our General Grammar classes that focus in grammar and conversation, we also provide a lot of opportunities for you to practice your conversation skills. Crossing Borders is extremely committed to have our students reach their full potential.

• General Level– focuses on students progressing from the very basic grammar to an advanced level.  Students learn mainly all the grammar and learn to read, write, converse in their new language.
• Conversation Class – focuses on having the students apply new vocabulary, memorize expressions, phrases, role plays and mainly talk, talk and talk.  If possible, we encourage students to register for both classes.  However, if this is not possible we suggest General Level Class if you are in a beginner level.   For more recommendations or suggestions please contact us.  We are here to help you. 
• Private Lessons - Private classes are a great way to get introduced to the language, Take the class at your home, your office,  at a library, or at our office. These classes are custom fit  to your needs, level and style of learning.  classes focus on correct pronunciation and vocabulary acquisition, with the goal of being able to converse, read, and write in the target language. Our experienced instructors guide you through your learning with encouragement and support.  For students wanting one-on-one, personalized attention, flexible schedule or an accelerated class private lessons are the best choice. 

Private and Group Language Sessions

What’s the difference between private and group setting?  Which one do we recommend?

Group class cost less up front as you will share the cost of the class with others.  You will still receive personal attention but it will be divided between the students that are in the class.  A syllabus is given and teacher does need to meet the goal of finishing up certain lesson in certain hours so this means that everybody in the group has to go at the same rhythm.  We do encourage students and teachers to meet 10-15 min. after the class if extra assistance is needed.  We do not want you to give up so we will try our best to give you all the help we can. 

Many students enjoy group as this gives them an opportunity to meet new friends that have something in common.  Group classes are very affordable and they are more interactive. 

Private classes are for students that need a special schedule, flexibility, need high pace learning because of a deadline and most important, some students prefer it because instructors will go as fast as you can or as slow as you need to.  Our native instructors will also custom fit the program to your needs.  Many of them create a job specific mini class in every 1 ½ hour class.
