English Summer Camp
English Classes for Kids & Teens through our Summer Program in Houston, Spring/The Woodlands, Katy, San Antonio and McAllen, TX
Want your kids to improve their English this summer? Are you moving to the States and need your children to be fluent by the time they start school or just improve language skills? Our classes at Crossing Borders are the right choice for your student. We have 12 yrs. of successful teaching experience. We do a thorough, outstanding job transitioning our students to completely immerse in the English language.
Who Comes?
Children from Russia, China, Venezuela, Italy, Vietnam, Mexico, Romania, Holland, Germany, Colombia, Spain, Brazil, Argentina take part in this amazing experience at Crossing Borders. We have kids as young as 4 years old to as old as 17 years old in San Antonio, in Katy, Houston, The Woodlands, and McAllen TX. Some students learn the basic numbers, colors, and shapes while others place at an advanced level since they have been enrolled in a bilingual school in their home country. Many students also enroll in the English program at Crossing Borders for that extra immersion and mainly to improve their communication skills in an American environment. These classes give the child the needed assurance and confidence to speak the English language and be able to learn and socialize in English.
How Long Do People Stay?
In the past years, kids have signed up for 2 weeks to 6 weeks. They have come directly from their country to be part of this amazing camp staying with relatives or friends. We also have had kids that have stayed in hotels or rented a temporary apartment and staying with relatives for an entire month. CB also offers home stay. If your child or relative is 13 years old or older and you are interested in home stay please let us know in order for us to send you information about this.
Why Over the Summer or Winter?
Many students have signed up with the purpose of taking advantage of every single moment to learn from scratch or to improve their level of English as they only have the summer to get ready to start school in an American school in a total English environment. As you see there are many ways that you can help bring that child in your life the language experience of the United States of America.
Whatever your reason or interest is in having that child come or be in the United States, we know we can help make it a positive experience! We are expecting a big turnout for 2013 and would love to have your child in our program.
The main purpose of having your children in our program is to give them the opportunity to learn a new language through our multi-cultural program. They will not only learn a new language but also be part of art lessons and learn traditional games and songs all in the target English language! (This depending on their age and level) Yes all in another language! Don't worry! They will feel so comfortable and eager to participate that they will not even notice how much they are understanding and how many new words and phrases they are going to be learning. Yes! One big combo in one powerful Language Camp!
Classes for Parents and relatives -English classes for the entire family in Houston, McAllen and San Antonio
Crossing Borders offers English, Spanish and French classes for parents so while your child is in English Camp you can also improve your 2nd or 3rd language. Sign up for our immersion group classes or for private classes. Our group classes emphasis on Language Immersion. All levels are available and our group classes are small (4-8 students per group). Group classes for parents are only in certain locations. Please contact us for more information.
